External Sales / Business Development Executive (Based in Durban or Johannesburg)
- Visit potential and existing clients according to a schedule.
- Prepare and send quotes within the time frame and standards Set out for company procedures whenever required.
- Follow-up with clients for quote approval.
- Respond to various customer requests and calls.
- Price negotiation with agents.
- Make a report of each customer visit.
- Contribute towards maintenance of commercial database.
- Understand the business model of customers visited.
- Achieve objectives as set out and agreed upon.
- Analysis of SARS data / Internal information at FTL and find other external sources of information for market targeting / products / services to be developed and/or implemented
- Compilations of figures and other indicators internal for statistical and analytical purposes.
Profile
- Matric SC / Grade 12
- Diploma/ Bachelors Degree ( Advantages)
- At least 5-7 years' experience in Sales
- Knowledge on office tools
- Technical knowledge of sea and air freight.
- Knowledge on incoterms
- Identifies emergencies and priorities and plans work and travel accordingly.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to analyze and interpret data/figures
